The Stoneleigh Estate was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It consists of 25 rooms and over 20,000 heated square feet. The Estate is located at 375 Edgewood Drive in Stanleytown Virginia. It is a Tudor Revival style with fabulous gardens and scenic views overlooking the Smith River. Construction of the Estate was started in 1929 and completed in 1932. The gardens were redesigned in 1961 by renowned landscape architect Charles Gillette. The formal gardens were recently updated in the spring of 2014 by Chip Callaway, of Callaway and Associates. European Roses were placed in the gardens, to suit the Estate by Witherspoon Rose Culture. Stoneleigh Estate was on the Historic Garden Week of Virginia tour in April of 2014.
